Virginia Dorgan



Virginia Dorgan is the full-time Executive Director of Network for Peace through Dialogue. She had been half-time in this position from 1994 until the summer of 2008.  In this position she oversees both the programmatic and administrative aspects of the organization.  Over the years she has worked closely with others on staff to develop our dialogue programs: Shaping Our Future, Living Room Dialogues, the Dialogue Facilitators Networking Group, the youth program, Confronting Concerns, the Newsletter and our Conferences.  She brings to her work two masters degrees, one in Mathematics and the other in Urban Affairs/Policy Analysis as well as many years in working in the field of education on the secondary and college levels. During her second masters program she specialized in Paulo Freire's philosophy of cognitive development and methodology. This, coupled with her years of experience in education, helps to inspire the Network's programs.
