The 2009 Network for Peace through Dialogue conference, "Dialogue In/As Action," was a NYC Conference for Community Groups, Peace Workers, Practitioners, Researchers, Teachers, Students and Anyone who struggles to bring people with different view points together. The conference featured a a special opening session with Geraldine Ferraro, was held June 12-June 13, 2009 at Marymount Manhattan College, New York, NY.
The 2009 Network for Peace through Dialogue conference, "Dialogue In/As Action," focused on the rich intersections of the methods, processes, and actions of dialogue that lead to change. The 2009 conference explored the ground rules for practicing good dialogue, as well as the parameters for putting constructive dialogue into action. The goals of the 2009 conference were to provide a forum for addressing and discussing the following issues:
